About me
Eight years ago, I left my teaching career to pursue presenting and journalism.
Since then, I’ve had the privilege of hosting television shows, creating viral series, producing impactful news content, and hosting international events. I’m also the official presenter of the UK Muslim Women Awards.
My strength lies in creating content that’s both engaging and meaningful, bringing stories to life in a way that entertains, informs, and connects with people.
Championing SWANA
I’ve spent my career bringing the vibrant stories of South West Asia and North Africa to life (also referred to as the Middle East). From creating series that challenge stereotypes to crafting news explainers that dive into its rich culture and history, I’m passionate about celebrating the region’s depth and diversity.
I also launched and hosted the UK’s first Arab and North African radio show, giving artists a platform to share their music and stories. My love for storytelling led me to host the official Assassin’s Creed Mirage podcast, exploring the captivating world of medieval Baghdad. Now, I co-host Shik Shak Shook Ones, a podcast showcasing MENA music that’s been spotlighted on major platforms like Apple Music and Anghami.

‘You’re a fake muslim!’
I created and produced this series to highlight the misconceptions around Islam and muslims. The internet is full of strange questions, false stereotypes and myths, so we busted them!
This viral series accumulated over 10,000,000 views online and aired on Islam Channel TV.
